My mother used to make the most delicious Sugee Cake! Your Sugee cake was moist and good tasting, but it was missing a vital ingredient/s versus my mother's cake. Perhaps not enough (or none at all??) Vanilla essence...? Or perhaps another ingredient I'm just not sure of......sorry! I guess I expected my Mum's Sugee cake...:(.....Thanks for the opportunity to try....
The cake had the smell and flavour which was the same as I remember eating in Malaysia. It could be a little more moist (buttery)only because it is semolina. It could also be a tiny bit larger for the price of the cake . Otherwise it was yummy 😋

Ordered the traditional sugee cake last week to try it out and it was simply fabulous! It was moist, had the perfect amount of sweetness and one of the best I have had. Loved the nutty almond taste as well with a tinge of vanilla. My go to now when I am craving sugee cake! I will definitely be a repeat customer. Sorry no photos, it didn’t last long in my house.
Reminded me of home in Singapore that my grandmother would make. Really nice and moist cake.
