Adelaide Mooncake Delivery - Authentic Handmade Mooncakes by Amour Desserts

Looking to order Handmade mooncakes in Adelaide? You are at the right place!
So I'll say this up front: order early. We bake without preservatives, only after your order comes in, and the popular flavours run out well before the festival.
Every mooncake below is handmade in our Melbourne kitchen and posted to South Australia.
Mooncake Delivery in Adelaide: Festival City Traditions
Adelaide is the city where I most often have no idea who's actually eating the mooncakes.
More of our South Australian orders go to a different address than the one paying — parents in the northeastern suburbs, in-laws near Gouger Street or Chinatown in the CBD, the friend who always hosts. That changes what gets ordered: safer flavours, and more assorted boxes.
Everything reaches Adelaide from our Melbourne kitchen in a couple of days, out as far as the Adelaide Hills.

Adelaide's Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations
The Adelaide Central Market and the Chinatown precinct run lantern displays and cultural performances, and OzAsia often falls close enough to the festival that the two run together — which is more programming than most cities we post to get. What our customers describe, though, usually comes after all that: the Botanic Gardens or a stretch of the Torrens, a box between a few people, and no particular schedule.
Adelaide's Mooncake Preferences
Adelaide orders traditional lotus paste with double yolk first, then Taiwanese 3Q, then Shanghai-style, then assorted boxes.
Assorted sits higher here than in most cities, which fits the gifting pattern — when you're sending rather than eating, one of each is the safe answer.
Classic Traditional Mooncakes — The Safe Gift
If you're sending a box to someone older, send these. Double yolk lotus is what Adelaide orders most, and it's the flavour that means "proper mooncake" to anyone who grew up with them.
Our lotus paste is cooked down slowly and kept less sweet than the tinned imports. Also here: red bean, pineapple lotus, double yolk, and mixed nuts.

Salted Egg Yolk Pastry Mooncakes
Flaky spiral pastry around a whole salted yolk, with lotus paste or red bean inside. Rich, slightly grainy yolk against the sweet paste — golden, never chalky.
These are the ones that get cut open first at the table.

Taiwanese 3Q Mooncakes
Red bean paste with pork floss — sweet, salty, chewy. Adelaide orders a lot of these, usually alongside a traditional box.

Check out our Taiwanese 3Q Mooncakes here.
Shanghai Mooncakes — Buttery Shortcrust
A shortcrust shell rather than a baked skin, filled with lotus paste or red bean paste. Crumbly, buttery, and lighter than a traditional skin — a good first mooncake for anyone who says they don't like mooncakes.

Nyonya Sambal Mooncake — For the Adventurous Table
Sambal and salted egg yolk in a mooncake. Nyonya cooking has always put sweet next to heat, and this one tastes like the kuih stalls back in Melaka.
Not the box to send your grandmother, unless your grandmother is Nyonya — in which case, absolutely send it.

Handmade to Order, Posted to Adelaide
Nothing is made ahead. Your box is baked after you order — no preservatives, less sugar than the commercial tins, and packed to survive the trip.

If you're sending rather than eating: the assorted box is the easy answer, because it lets the person who receives it argue with their family about which one is best.
