Perth Mooncake Delivery - Authentic Handmade Mooncake by Amour Desserts

Looking to buy mooncakes in Perth? You are in the right place!
I'm Er Rin from Amour Desserts. Perth is the longest trip our mooncakes make — 4 to 5 business days from our Melbourne kitchen, right across the country.
That distance shapes how we work for WA orders. We bake without preservatives, so we time your bake close to dispatch and pack insulated for the crossing. It's also why the 6 September postage cutoff matters more here than anywhere else: leave it late and your box is racing the festival.
Mooncake Delivery in Perth: Western Australia's Moon Festival
Perth is the longest journey we make, and the one where the calendar matters most.
Our orders cluster in Willetton, East Victoria Park and Northbridge — communities that keep the festival properly, and that sit a very long way from anywhere selling a decent handmade mooncake. That distance is the whole reason this page exists.
Boxes go insulated and express to cross the continent. If you order late, you aren't waiting on us — you're waiting on the freight, and the freight doesn't care about the festival date.

Perth's Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations
The Perth Moon Festival in Northbridge runs lantern displays and cultural performances, and the Chung Wah Association holds traditional celebrations with mooncake sharing. What our Perth customers describe most often is quieter than any of that — Kings Park or the Swan River foreshore, a box split between a few people, and the moon coming up over the city.
Perth's Mooncake Preferences
Perth orders traditional lotus paste with double yolk first, then Shanghai-style, Taiwanese 3Q, traditional mixed nuts, and Nyonya sambal.
Two things stand out against the east coast: Perth buys a noticeably bigger share of mixed nuts, and a bigger share of sambal. I read that as a lot of Malaysian families in WA ordering the flavours they actually grew up with rather than the ones that are easy to explain to somebody else — though that's my reading of the order sheet, not something anyone has told me.
Classic Traditional Mooncakes for Perth Delivery
Double yolk lotus is what Perth orders most, and I understand why — if a box is going to travel three thousand kilometres, you want the one everyone at the table agrees on.
Our lotus paste is cooked down slowly and kept less sweet than the commercial tins. Alongside it: red bean, pineapple lotus for a bit of tang, double yolk, and mixed nuts — which Perth orders far more of than the east coast does.

Nyonya Sambal Mooncake — Spicy, Savoury, Malaysian
Sambal and salted egg yolk inside a mooncake. It sounds odd until you remember Nyonya cooking has always sat sweet next to heat — this tastes like the kuih stalls back in Melaka, not like a dessert counter.
Perth surprises us with this one every year. A lot of WA Malaysians order it before anything else.

Taiwanese 3Q Mooncakes
Red bean paste with pork floss — sweet, salty and chewy at once. If you grew up near a Taiwanese bakery, one bite and you'll know exactly where you are.

Shanghai Mooncakes — The Best Travellers
If I had to pick one style to send across the Nullarbor, it's these. A buttery shortcrust shell instead of a baked skin, filled with lotus paste or red bean paste — sturdy in the box, and lighter to eat than a traditional skin.

Salted Egg Yolk Pastry Mooncakes
Flaky spiral pastry around a whole salted yolk, with lotus paste or red bean inside. Rich, slightly grainy yolk against sweet paste — golden, never chalky.

Handmade to Order, Sent Across the Country
Nothing sits in a warehouse. Your mooncakes are made after you order — no preservatives, less sugar than the commercial boxes, packed for the long trip west.

Perth is a long way from most people's families, and further still from Malaysia or Singapore. If a box of these tastes like the ones from back home, that's the whole point of doing it this way.
